Maritime trainning

With extensive experience in maritime training, we are recognized for designing training modules tailored to the needs of shipping companies.

Preparation of training approval applications, supervision and ongoing monitoring of all training activities, design, implementation and follow-up,


Train the trainers, maintain the competence of teachers, carry out training courses,


Ensure Quality Assurance and Quality Control in accordance with the normative structure of maritime training in Madagascar.

Ship and Port Safety & Security

As a specialized training and technical support organization, S-MTR has expertise in the relevant functions of port security and safety for:

  • Port supervisors
  • Port facility managers
  • PI security managers
  • ZAR agents
  • ISPS awareness for personnel working in PIs STCW for seafarers involved in onboard security


S-MTR has knowledge of ship and port operations,


S-MTR has relevant experience in other security-relevant operations that could have an impact on port security.


S-MTR is able to assess the security risks that may arise during ship and port facility or port operations, including the ship/port interface, and determine how to reduce these risks.


Our latest achievement in 2025 is the compliance upgrade of the Vohemar commercial port: INITIAL PORT FACILITY SECURITY ASSESSMENT (PFSA) and DEVELOPMENT OF THE SECURITY PLAN.

Manning Services

Because maritime work is a field we are particularly fond of, we enthusiastically launched ourselves into the creation and management of a manning and placement agency for sailors/seafarers.:


With a wealth of experience in supplying seafarers and technicians to shipping companies, the newly-created "MARITIME TRANSPORT RESOURCES" (MTR Crew Manning Agency) recruits and places Malagasy (Madagascar) seafarers on board ships. We meet the highest requirements and standards for cruise ships, supply vessels, cargo ships, cable ships and tankers, in strict compliance with international regulations. Our employees involvement and qualifications of our office staff enable us to be fully committed to maritime safety, operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
